Accomplishments at a Glance
- Re-accreditation for an additional 3 years from Carf (Committee on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities)
- Programs covered are Community Services Coordination, Job Development, Job Supports and Job-Site Training
- Serve more than 150 children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, I/DD, in our Challenger Sports League who enjoy the benefit of physical activity and socialization
- Abilities Tennis to our sports options in spring 2014
- We serve 126 individuals in Greensboro Self Advocacy Program, Job Club and Beyond the Canvas programs
- The Employment Specialist Staff has assisted 100 consumers with: training, job development services, retrain-ing in the job place, personal care services, Long-Term Support and stabilization on their new jobs.
- Provided Community Guide services to 72 individuals with I/DD
- Operated a successful job training dog treat bakery with 16 chefs (arcBARKS)
- Operated a successful Project Search High School Work Transition program with 100% job placement rate for past 2 years for 18 students
- Operated a clay pottery program for 15 individuals with I/DD who learn the craft of creating decorative and functional items
- Provided turkey dinners for 25 families for Thanksgiving
- Provided over 254 individuals and 862 gifts to individuals with significant needs for Christmas through Operation Santa Claus
